Victoria Randall (an Oxford local) is an English Literature First Year and dutifully serves on the JCR Committee as Welfare Officer alongside her comrade Lou; acting on the students’ behalf on a variety of issues to ensure the happiest possible college environment.

Sports and Leisure Dwayne Whylly

dwayne [dot] whylly [at] hmc [dot] ox [dot] ac [dot] uk

Dwayne (Law, 2011) is our residential athlete. He is a Blues footballer, as well as a member of the Bahamian National Football Team. He also participates in Cuppers basketball and football. Dwayne has been advocating for special privileges for athletes since his first day at Oxford, when he realised that he was looked at as a scholar first and athlete second. He is a strong believer that sports unite and that with the enthusiasm and a competitive spirit the small can defeat the mighty. His mission is to get as more HMC students involved with sports within the college. If you have any questions or queries feel free to shoot him an email and he will do the best he can to help you out.

Newsletter Editor Sria Chatterjee

Sria Chatterjee (History of Art, 2012) writes stories and draws pictures. One hopes that keeping her busy with this will be a good way to save paper in the library and the whitewashed college walls.

sven [dot] gusmann [at] hmc [dot] ox [dot] ac [dot] uk

Sven Güsmann: trying to pass exams, play volleyball and live a GREEN (and happy) life. The last point is why I am in charge of environmental issues together with Lisanne at HMC JCR Committee…

Food and Wine Officers Florian Dahl & Felix Rossknecht

florian [dot] dahl [at] hmc [dot] ox [dot] ac [dot] uk

Food and Wine at HMC is firmly in German hands. One of the two Germans taking care of culinary well being is Florian (PPE, 2012). When not restocking / figuring out HMC’s very own vending machine, Florian takes part in the highly scientific process of choosing the wines the JCR provides for students each wednesday at formal hall or discusses food in more general terms by the fireplace or merrily writes extremely convoluted sentences such as this one.

felix [dot] rossknecht [at] hmc [dot] ox [dot] ac [dot] uk

Felix (Economics and Management, 2012) hails from Langenargen, Germany.
Together with Florian, Felix represents the student body and their wishes and comments regarding meals provided by College, and select and order wine for the weekly formal dinner.

Bar Manager James Morgan

james [dot] morgan [at] hmc [dot] ox [dot] ac [dot] uk

As Bar Manager, James Morgan (Experimental Psychology, 2012) is responsible for stocking and running the bar. His role involves ordering the alcohol, setting prices and employing the bar staff (who are all HMC students). When not enjoying work-related panic attacks and late-night essay crises, Jim (as he prefers to be known) can usually be found in the bar doing his best to empty it.
